Dear Homeowners,
For those of you who attended the Spring Information Meeting, you know that one of our 25 year old septic controllers has failed and parts are no longer available. This particular controller controls the backup pump associated with the largest septic field in our community (aka baseball field across from the playground). Should the controller for the primary pump fail, we would either need to shut down our community or have a septic pump truck running 24 x 7 until repairs could be completed. One of our vendors, GE Mechanical, is scheduled to be on site on Monday, June 1 to replace those controllers. Most of our community is connected to this septic field -- all of the South side (900-1600 blocks plus homes along Beach with the exception of Sites 36-40), Sites 700-709 on the 700 block, and the BATHHOUSE and LAUNDRY ROOM. While the vendor is working, a septic pump truck will be actually pumping the "grey water" from the tank closest to the septic field. We ask that you limit your water use (showers, washing dishes, laundry, etc.) as well as flushing the toilet all day on Monday, June 1st. AS NOTED, THE BATHHOUSE IS ALSO ON THIS SYSTEM AND FALLS INTO THE SAME CATEGORY AS MANY OF YOUR HOMES so it's use should be limited as well! You may want to make friends with the homeowners on the 100 through 600 blocks, the homes on Hickory, and those on sites 709 to 711 if you are here on Monday! They all feed into separate smaller septic leach fields and will not have any restrictions on their water use! Thank you in advance for your cooperation while we complete this important repair/replacement. Sincerely, OSC Board Comments are closed.
