PET ETIQUETTE REMINDER

We just wanted to send a quick reminder to everyone about your pets ... particularly the dogs ... that visit our community throughout the season.  Some dogs belong to you, the homeowner, but others visit with family and friends.  But, you as the homeowner, are ultimately responsible to ensure that everyone in your household follows the rules ...

• PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES ... even on your own property.
• If your dog is on your deck or on a lead on your property, PLEASE ENSURE THAT THEY CANNOT GET OUT.  And, please do not leave them outside unattended.  While they may be fine with you, when they see another dog or individual they may not be as friendly and bite ... or too friendly and knock someone over.
• Please ensure that ANYONE WALKING A DOG CAN ACTUALLY HANDLE THE DOG if it gets excited when it sees another dog, squirrel, or person.  We've seen some children, and even adults, being pulled down the road by their dog!
• PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG.  While this issue has improved a bit, we still have individuals who do not pick up after their dog ... and in fact, some have let their dog poop right next to our pet waste stations and not pick it up!  If the station is out of bags, please report it.
• DISPOSE OF WASTE PROPERLY.  There are a number of pet waste stations throughout the community.  Deposit the waste there, in your own trash can, or take it directly to the dumpsters.  DO NOT PLACE IT IN A NEIGHBOR'S TRASH CAN OR RECYCLING BIN.
• If you leave for an extended period of time, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR DOG DOESN'T BARK CONTINUOUSLY while you are gone.  We live in close proximity of each other and a dog constantly barking is an annoyance to neighbors.
• Our current Rules & Regulations allow 2 PETS PER HOUSEHOLD.  Please keep this in mind when family and friends visit and want to bring their pets along.  (Our original Bylaws state "one per Unit".)
