NO CAMPFIRES as of Tuesday, June 6th

Per the Fire Marshall, no campfires are allowed until further notice due to the dry conditions throughout the county and state.

Also a quick REMINDER for when restrictions are lifted.

• NO UNATTENDED FIRES! We had several instances over the Memorial Day weekend.
• FIRES MUST BE COMPLETELY EXTINGUISHED! (In other words, you can hold your hand over the coals and not feel any heat.) Again, we had several instances where fires were still smoldering in the morning this past weekend.
• WATER MUST BE READILY AVAILABLE. You can either have a hose handy or a large bucket of water next to the fire.
• NO BURNING OF LEAVES!  Another issue reported over the Memorial Day weekend.
• NO FIRES DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND. Fires must be in a commercially purchased firepit or a prepared fire ring constructed of steel, stone, or brick/block with a gravel or concrete block base.
