A number of homeowners have asked why the election ballot for the Board of Trustees does not include the offices or positions the nominees are running for.
Per Article IV, Section 1 of our Bylaws, "The condominium shall be administered and managed, and the affairs of the Condominium Association shall be governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of five persons, who shall not be compensated for such services." Per Article V, Section 1 of our Bylaws, "The Officers of the Association shall be a President, a Secretary and a Treasurer, who shall be elected annually by the Board of Trustees from among its Trustees at the organization of each new Board of Trustees and shall hold office until their successors are elected or appointed by the Board and qualify." Based on this statement, the three (3) officers will be determined after the Annual Meeting each year by the five (5) homeowners who have been elected to the Board of Trustees. The remaining two (2) Board members are just that, full members of the Board of Trustees with the ability to vote on association affairs and management. Hope this helps. Comments are closed.
