Dear Homeowners ... We just spoke to an Xfinity technician working in the community. They are performing routine maintenance on our equipment and actually completed a major repair/upgrade at our connection on Stagecoach Road this morning which caused a service disruption. They hope to be finished today but, if not, there may be another brief disruption in service tomorrow morning around 7:00am.
Please note that the Board was not alerted in advance of this work but, now that we are aware, we wanted to ensure that we passed the information we do have on to our homeowners. Thanks in advance for your understanding. Several weeks ago, we had requested additional bandwidth for the network near the pool that supports our security cameras. Comcast was finally in today to increase our bandwidth, replace modems, and create a separate guest network for the pool area!
The new guest network is OSC_POOL. No password is required. (It may take a minute or so for your phone to find the network.) It will currently support internet browsing but not streaming movies at this time. Please be patient with us as we adjust the settings and bandwidth for our new network. (The technician could only do a basic setup with most of the bandwidth going to the primary, not guest, network.) But, in the meantime, feel free to test it out! At this time, this network will not reach the Log Cabin/Club House … but we are continuing to investigate additional equipment to make that happen.
