Dear Homeowners ... Our white truck is temporarily out of commission so trash and recycling will not be picked up tomorrow, Friday, June 2nd.
If you do have trash or recycling, please bring it up to the dumpsters yourself. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Dear Homeowners ... When we upgraded our Security Camera System, we also updated the guest network at the pool. Here's the network name and password.
Name: OSC Pool Guest Password: oscpoolguest Wi-Fi access at the pool was set up for your convenience while away from your mobile home and should not be used as your primary internet access point while at OSC. We simply do not have the bandwidth to support all our homeowners on this network, but there is sufficient bandwidth for anyone sitting at the pool. Enjoy! PS -- We will also have a guest network available at the Log Cabin very soon ... but we have a few more tweaks to do with the equipment. We passed our last electrical inspection with Middle Township this morning so at 10:00am, the pool will be open for the season.
Thank you for your patience while we obtained our 5-year bonding inspection and certificate and scheduled the final Township inspection. ENJOY! PS -- We still need volunteers to close the pool in the evening. We're getting ready to open the pool for the season, but we're still in desperate need of volunteers to close the pool around 7:00pm each evening. We only have a few homeowners who have stepped up.
On weekdays, the volunteer would take any toys out of the pool, check the skimmers for wayward toys or large debris, close the umbrellas, toss out any food wrappers or beverage containers, put any items left on the pool deck into "lost and found", and, most importantly, ensure that all 3 gates are locked for the evening. On weekends, we'd also like you to dip a test strip into the pool water and record the results in the log book. ARE YOU WILLING TO HELP OUT? You can sign up for the same day each week, a single week or weekend, or several of them. Please email the Board at [email protected] Your help would be very much appreciated. After all, this is YOUR community. Well, we do have some good news. We passed our bonding inspection. However, our certification paperwork will not be ready until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
We'll continue to keep you posted and get the pool open as soon as we can. Thanks in advance for your patience. Dear Homeowners ... At "Coffee with the Board", we announced that we would be opening the pool a week early this year. (We think we jinxed ourselves!) The day after that meeting, we received a call from Property Management. They had received a notice indicating we were due for our 5-year pool bonding inspection (aka electrical). Well, that was not on our radar. A licensed electrician was immediately contacted but his calendar was pretty full ... and the earliest date he could get here for that inspection was today, Friday, May 19th. Keep your fingers crossed🤞that all goes well. The certificate the electrician issues has to be given to the Township electrical inspector before we can open the pool. If he accepts a photo of the certificate today, we can open for the weekend. If not, we'll open early next week. Sorry ... we kept hoping the electrician could squeeze us in earlier than today. (We were first on the list for any cancellations.) We'll keep you posted!  We’re looking again this year to hire a high school or college student in our OSC community that might be interested in vacuuming and testing the pool and cleaning/straightening the pool deck in the morning (mainly on weekends) 8:00am to 10:00am. Yes … this is a paid position ($15.00/hour). There will be additional duties such as watering the plants, checking/opening the game room, and possibly checking/refilling the paper towels and toilet paper in the bathrooms. (You will not be expected to clean the bathrooms.)

Please note that the pool will be closed (10:00-11:30am) during the Annual Meeting ... and will open for the day once the meeting is over.
Thanks in advance for your understanding. Dear Homeowners – We had 2 couples volunteer for our Pool Committee at Coffee with the Board (Thank You!), but we need more help … especially with closing the pool every evening … particularly on weekdays. If you don’t feel comfortable testing the pool and adding water … simply checking the skimmer baskets for pool toys and closing the umbrellas before locking the gates would be great. We also occasionally need help opening the pool … mostly on weekends when our current staff has other obligations. Are you available to help? If so, please email the Board at [email protected] … and we’ll get you trained and in touch with the Pool Committee. Thanks in advance for your help.  Please note that the repairs and patches completed on the pool in May have absorbed the iron from the water and are brown at this time. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO SCRUB THESE AREAS and please ask your children not to scratch or rub them. It is just a stain. We are hoping that the chlorine will bleach them over time. And if not, we will repaint the areas in the fall or early next spring.
