Dear Homeowners ...
A tremendous amount of mail has accumulated from the fall and winter in the Laundry Room Mail Bin. We've culled out the advertisements and duplicate bills from Xfinity/Comcast, but there are other bills, insurance forms, jury duty notices, and what look to be "official" documents for many of our homeowners. When you're down, please take a moment to look for anything that might belong to you. We will be disposing of anything not claimed shortly after Memorial Day. And, if anything official is being sent to your Old Stagecoach address, please reach out to the business or government office and have your mail re-directed to your primary home or a PO Box. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Dear Homeowners ...
We need someone (or several individuals) to pickup mail from the OSC mailbox on Stagecoach Road and place it in the Mail Bin in the Laundry Room ... daily or at least every other day. You do not need to deliver mail to any homeowners. But if you see a package or important piece of mail, you are welcome to do so. If you're interested in helping, please email the Board at [email protected] Thanks! Dear Homeowners ... A tremendous amount of mail has accumulated from the fall and winter in the Laundry Room Mail Bin.
While the majority of the mail is thanks to Xfinity/Comcast, there are other bills, insurance forms, jury duty notices, and what look to be "official" documents for many of our homeowners. When you're down, please take a moment to look for anything that might belong to you. We will be disposing of anything not claimed before the season gets into full swing. And, if anything official is being sent to your Old Stagecoach address, please reach out to the business or government office and have your mail re-directed to your primary home or a PO Box. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. From Betty Ann Delaney (Lot 200) ... I picked up the mail from our mailbox out front today. It was filled to the brim. 99% of it is junk mail but also many Xfinity bills, including one for me. If you haven’t already had your mailing address changed or have it as a direct debit, please do so. Anything that I think looks of importance I will put in the box in the Laundry Room. Anyone that gets a package that fits in the mailbox will also go in there but I will try to notify you through Facebook Messenger. There is currently a box shipped from Seko but I couldn’t find the name on our Facebook account. Any questions please feel free to ask me. Betty Ann Delaney Lot 200
Dear Homeowners -- Believe it or not, we still have a lot of mail that was collected over the summer for our homeowners. We typically toss the advertising and local election campaign flyers ... but there are mail pieces that appear to be important from the federal and state government, utility bills, medical bills, package delivery notices, jury duty notices, handwritten envelopes ... just to name a few ... that are addressed to our homeowners. Some of this mail has been there for months ... so we can only assume that it is not important to you. (Please note: It is not the responsibility of the Board or the Mail Committee to personally deliver mail to your home.)
We will hold the mail collected over the summer until the May 1, 2023 timeframe. At that time, we will dispose of it. If you are down over the winter, please check the mail bins located in the Laundry Room for anything addressed to you. The code to the Laundry Room is 4028. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Betty Ann, from our Mail Committee, met with the Cape May Court House Postmaster last week to see if they would deliver our mail and packages into the Campground. Unfortunately, the answer was no. Per USPS Union rules, the driver is not allowed to drive more than 1/4 mile to deliver mail. The only exception would be if we had cluster mailboxes installed in a single location for every home here -- that's currently 224 lots and mailbox slots!
Going forward ... Any mail (or small packages) delivered to our mailbox on Stagecoach Road will be placed in the bins located in the Laundry Room by Betty Ann (or another member of the team). Small packages that fit in the mailbox will be delivered to the mailbox, but larger packages will need to be picked up at the CMCH Post Office on Route 9. The mail carrier will leave a pink or orange "undeliverable" slip with the mail for any large packages. It will be your responsibility to pick the package up at the Post Office within 14 days. They will not attempt to redeliver the package. Mail and small packages picked up from the mailbox will not be delivered to your individual homes ... nor will anyone notify you of mail or packages in the Laundry Room bins. If you're expecting something in the mail, it's your responsibility to retrieve it. ALSO ... there are a number of bills delivered here each month from Comcast/Xfinity and Atlantic City Electric. Please have them redirected to your primary home address or, if you pay online, please have the paper bills stopped. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and THANK YOU Betty Ann for meeting with the Postmaster and picking up our mail. The OSC Mail Committee has already been hard at work. Here's a message from Betty Ann Delaney ...
"Hi Neighbors. I spoke to the Supervisor at our Post Office and, as of right now, they will only deliver packages that fit in our mailbox on Stagecoach Road. If the package is too big, they will leave a slip for it to be picked up at their location on Route 9, where it will be held for a month. The CMCH Postmaster will not be back until June 11th and, at that time, we will try to work something out where they can leave bigger packages in some kind of container in the breezeway near the laundry room and bathrooms. I'll keep everyone posted. I know most people have things delivered at home, but there are many of us that are here for the summer." NOTE 1: Homeowner mail (including delivery slips for large packages) is routinely picked up from the mailbox on Stagecoach Road and placed in bins in the Laundry Room. Homeowners are responsible for checking the bins for their mail. The code for the Laundry Room is 4028. NOTE 2: Packages that are delivered via FedEx, UPS, or another delivery service (other than the US Mail) may or may not be delivered directly to your mobile home. It is very dependent on the individual delivery driver. Packages are often left in front of the Log Cabin or at site 206. Please check those two locations if you receive a notice that your package has been delivered, but it is not on your porch. Dear Homeowners … All the mail received for homeowners over the winter as well as any current mail can be found in bins located in the Laundry Room. They are on a small table to the right of the dryers. Please take a moment to check if anything arrived for you. Some of the mail looks pretty official -- from government agencies including jury duty notices as well as a few bills … so be sure to check it out!
Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Dear Homeowners …
The Board will begin testing email communication with our homeowners using a distribution list … so please be sure to add [email protected] to your email address book. Today, a message is going out to a small list of homeowners to initially test the concept. We will be testing with the full distribution list in the near future if this test is successful. If you receive the message, please reply so we can verify that we reached everyone on our “test list” and the email addresses we entered were typed correctly. (Just in case ... Don’t forget to check your Spam folder.) Thanks in advance for your help. A member of the OSC Board met with the Cape May Court House Postmaster today and we are reviewing options for mail delivery to our community.
