UPDATE: The power came back on quickly this time ... but considering the high winds and rain, it may go out again over the weekend. If you are on-site, please remember that no power = no water. You may want to fill a bucket or two now ... to get that extra flush later! The power is out at OSC and that means no water is being pumped up from our wells to the Community. Please do not use the Bathhouse. Those toilets only have 1 flush just like your homes. You can check the Atlantic City Electric app for updates! Thanks, OSC Board  RE-STONING THE ROADS --- We added 6 truckloads (150 tons) of new stone to S. Pine, S. Maple, S. Holly, Beach from Cedar to Hickory, Main Street, and parking areas at that end of the community on Monday, Sept 14th and Tuesday, Sept 15th. We'll be spreading more stone onto a portion of Hickory, Oak, and Holly on Monday, Sept 21st ... and filling in any spots that were missed over the next few weeks. REMOVAL OF FLORIDA ROOM AND TRAILER ON LOT 409 --- The Florida room and deck were demolished and hauled away on Monday, Sept 14th and Tuesday, Sept 15th by an outside contractor. The trailer itself was removed by the buyer on Friday, Sept 18th. It was quite an operation! POOL WORK --- The pool was drained and any cracks in the concrete were patched on Wednesday, Sept 16th by JV Pool Plastering. Thursday our Maintenance crew started repainting! Wow ... did the old paint fade!! The paint is drying and curing now. We're hoping to refill the pool early next week. RE-STONING THE ROADS --- We will be adding new stone to the rest of the South side of our community on Monday, Sept 14th and Tuesday, Sept 15th. If you are located on any of the following roads, please be sure to move your car especially if you plan to go anywhere during the day. Please do not park on the roads or any of the common areas bordering these roads. Access to the Boat Yard will also be limited during this time.
REMOVAL OF FLORIDA ROOM AND DECK ON LOT 409 --- The deteriorating Florida room and deck will be demolished and hauled away on Monday, Sept 14th and Tuesday, Sept 15th by an outside contractor. Please do not park near Lot 409 (Maple) while this work is being completed and be sure to keep your home's windows closed. Also be sure not to block the street so the contractor's vehicles and dumpster can easily move in and out of the area. POOL WORK --- And as if we didn't have enough going on next week, we will have another contractor in to drain and re-patch our pool. They are currently scheduled to be in completing the work on Monday, Sept 14th and Tuesday, Sept 15th. The day the pool is drained you may see large puddles on Main Street as well as the roads surrounding the pool. Thank you for your cooperation as we complete these activities. Sincerely, OSC Board Per the Xfinity text message notifications, they've started work to enhance the network at Old Stagecoach. This work will take place over multiple days as their teams work to complete the upgrades as quickly as possible.
While they indicated that we'll experience brief, intermittent service outages, it appears as though those outages will be a bit longer. Per the onsite technician, internet and cable will be down until 1:00 or 2:00pm today. And also down from 7:00am to 2:00pm on Thursday and Friday this week. Please plan accordingly. If we get any additional updates, we’ll let you know. OSC Board Dear Homeowners ... As we mentioned at our Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 15th, the trailer and attached Florida room on Lot 409 is up for grabs. It is a 1990 Fleetwood that has not been occupied for over 20 years. Most of the original homeowners' belongings are still inside the trailer. While the main trailer does not appear to have any roof leaks, the Florida room roof has been leaking for a number of years and all the items left in that room are very moldy. (Strongly suggest wearing a mask if you venture in there!) We will be using Lot 409 as a leach field for our upcoming Septic Remediation Project on the 400 block. As a result, the trailer and Florida room will need to be removed from that lot. So we wanted to know if there were any industrious individuals who might be interested in removing the trailer and rehabbing it. We've provided some pictures of the inside, but please feel free to take a look yourself. We do not know the condition of the tires or frame underneath the trailer. We've already had some requests for the windows and roof panels from the Florida room and have started a list. If you are interested in the trailer itself or any portion of the Florida room or trailer, PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING AT THIS POINT IN TIME. A quick reminder to not leave clothes in the washers and dryers when the cycle is complete. PLEASE note the time when your clothes go into the washer or dryer and set a reminder or alarm for yourself to return to the Laundry Room to remove your clothes when the cycle is complete. While not every homeowner uses our Laundry Room, a large contingent of our homeowners do use it ... and we only have 5 washers and 6 dryers. So please be considerate and remove your clothes when the wash or dry cycle is over. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Dear Homeowners ...
Another one of our fellow homeowners is moving from their old (primary) home into a new one. They requested permission to store a trailer with their belongings one or two nights at Old Stagecoach while all the closing activities are occurring. The Board has given permission for this very short term storage. The trailer will be located near the Boat Yard this weekend and the wheels will be secured. CORRECTION: The trailer will be parked in the common area on Willow across from the 1600 block. Thank you in advance for your cooperation helping one of our neighbors.
