Not much on the ground ... but it sure makes a pretty scene. Take care driving if you decide to visit your home away from home. 🙂
Dear Homeowners,
We officially closed for the season as of Monday, November 3rd. Per township guidelines, "All campgrounds within the Township of Middle shall be closed from Monday at 8:00 a.m. until Friday at 12:00 noon between November 1 and March 1 of each year. No licensee shall permit the occupancy of any campsite during the proscribed time periods." Please note that any violation of the township rules could result in the suspension of our campground license. As a result, the gate on the access road will be locked Monday through Friday. If you need to visit your property DURING THE WEEK, you must lock the gate behind you when you enter and leave. If you plan to stay overnight during the week, YOU NEED TO INFORM WINTER SECURITY AHEAD OF TIME (not as you are driving through the gate) by ...
If you are simply coming down for the day, please stop (or beep) at Site 1300 (on Ash next to the Bathhouse) when you arrive. NO EXCEPTIONS! Winter Security does not want to be chasing vehicles around our community … especially after dark! Please ensure that family and friends who use your home are also aware of the Township regulations. We are allowed to open our gate on weekends and holidays for overnight stays as follows:
We do understand that an occasional weekday visit and/or overnight stay may be warranted to allow a contractor on to your property or for you to complete an emergency repair. HOWEVER, you should NOT be planning to spend several weekdays or a week overnight at your site on a regular basis. Routine activities should be completed on weekends whenever possible. Please note … it is NOT the responsibility of Winter Security to let a contractor into our community or monitor their activities. Additionally, contractors should not be given keys. Winter Security is here to monitor our community during the off-season to ensure there is no weather-related damage to your homes or our community buildings, that our water is on to the bathhouse, and that the building is heated among other things. Winter Security is also there to ensure that no unwanted visitors enter our facility. We have had items disappear from homeowner properties in the off-season in the past … in particular, the smaller 20 and 30-lb propane tanks. Monitoring who goes in and out helps protect everyone and our property. Homeowners who repeatedly violate Middle Township rules will be contacted by the Board and will receive a warning. Repeated warnings can result in fines. Thank you all in advance for your cooperation in this matter. Sincerely, OSC Board PS. If you plan to leave a vehicle on your site over the winter, please advise the Board via the email address noted above with the make and model so we can forward to Winter Security. The water at OSC is officially off for the season. As always, the bathhouse will be open for your use during the winter months.
Thanks for a great season! OSC Board Dear Homeowners, You may have already received a registered letter relative to a Middle Township Zoning Board Public Notice ... or received a slip to sign and pick up your letter at your local post office. The contents of that letter is posted below. It is standard practice for the Zoning Board to require that notices are sent to neighboring property owners when variances to normal use are requested. As noted, the applicant (GIAC NGO Monastery, a Buddhist organization) is seeking approval to construct a monastery which will consist of a temple, associated dormitories, and a dining facility for visiting monks and nuns. This plan requires variances as stated since current zoning states:
The Board does not have any additional information other than that provided in the letter. Should anyone have questions about the proposed building(s), the contact information for the group's attorney has been provided. In addition, you may review the application on file in the Middle Township Municipal Building and/or attend the hearing scheduled for December 11th at 6:00pm. Sincerely, OSC Board
Dear Homeowners ...
We will be using the leaf vacuum on a limited basis for the last 2 weeks of October if you are planning to clear leaves from your property. Outside that window, you are welcome to bag leaves (paper only please) and place them directly behind the trash dumpsters. Leaf pickup will resume at the end of March. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. OSC Board Join us for the last event of the year at the Log Cabin on Sunday, Oct 19th at 9:00am for a pregame tailgate leading up to the kickoff at 1:00pm.
This will be a potluck also so bring your own snacks and drinks! Grill will be available at 9:00am for those who want to hang out and do a little BBQ! |
