Dear Homeowners ...
We received an email over the weekend from Joe Cosentino indicating that he has rescinded his nomination for the Alternate position on the Board. Therefore, any votes cast for Joe Cosentino will not be counted. Sincerely, OSC Board Secret ballots work because of a 2-envelope system.
The outer envelope with your name and lot number allows the Election Inspectors ...
ONLY IF A QUORUM IS PRESENT will the Election Inspectors separate the outer envelope with your name from the inner envelope with your ballot. Once all the envelopes have been separated, the Election Inspectors will begin to open the ballot envelopes and tally the votes. Keeping the outer envelopes separated from the inner envelopes with the actual ballot allows the ballots to be anonymous. The inspectors do not know whose ballot they are opening when that second envelope is unsealed. Hope this better explains the "secret ballot" process. Dear Homeowners ...
Board members have received questions from a number of homeowners asking if they can simply bring their ballot page to the Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 15th. Unfortunately, if you simply bring your ballot page and it is not SEALED in both the inner and outer envelopes, your ballot will be VOIDED. We are required by NJ Condo Association Law to vote by "secret ballot". That means your ballot must be placed in an inner envelope and sealed. The inner envelope has no personal identification on it. That inner envelope must be placed and sealed in an outer envelope which contains your name and lot number. We will have extra envelopes available the day of the meeting as well as extra ballot pages. PLEASE BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE BALLOT INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT! Sincerely, OSC Board Dear Homeowners ...
A quick reminder to not leave clothes in the washers and dryers when the cycle is complete. PLEASE note the time when your clothes go into the washer or dryer and set a reminder or alarm for yourself to return to the Laundry Room to remove your clothes when the cycle is complete. While not every homeowner uses our Laundry Room, a large contingent of our homeowners do use it ... and we only have 5 washers and 6 dryers. So please be considerate and remove your clothes when the wash or dry cycle is over. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Another great event by our Events Committee this past Saturday. Thank you, Jessica, and all the volunteers who helped decorate, donate prizes, work at the fun stations ... and dress in costume! And, of course, all the adults who came up to the pool to give out the all important candy!
Dear Homeowners ...
Unfortunately we failed the pool water test that was taken this past Monday for a high bacteria count. The pool will be shocked with chlorine shortly and once it circulates and the chlorine levels come back down, we will be able to re-open. In the meantime, please be patient as we work through this issue. Sincerely, OSC Board A special THANK YOU to Jessica, Anthony, and all the volunteers who helped make "Fly Me to the Moon ... a Sinatra night with Bob O" a great success. As you can tell from the pictures, everyone had a wonderful time listening to the tunes, enjoying dinner and dessert, and, of course, enjoying great company with friends and neighbors!
A special "Thank You" to Terri Ellis for scheduling a trainer to teach Adult and Infant CPR and AED use to members of our community. Additionally the instructor explained how to deal with choking in adults as well as infants. A number of our homeowners practiced their CPR techniques on the manikin and received their 2-year certification.
Thanks for making our community a little safer! NOTE: Our community's AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is located in the Bathhouse breezeway next to the Laundry Room door. Please don't be afraid to use it in an emergency. The machine will walk you through the steps! Be sure to have someone call 911! |
