Dear Homeowners ...
The "No Campfires" sign is down. Campfires are permitted, but please be aware of your surroundings ... leaves still on your property, your neighbors, or a common area ... or high winds. And, of course, please have water readily available to fully extinguish the fire when you are done. The Board made a conscious decision to leave the "No Campfires" sign up until the majority of the leaves were cleared from our properties. In addition, we did not receive the permit for the 2025 season until April 11th. And yes, the Board can override the campfire permit when the decision is made in good faith and for the safety of the community. (This is directly from the Association's lawyer.) We just cannot make a decision in the opposite direction ... i.e., the Fire Marshall bans campfires but we allow homeowners to have them. Unfortunately for us, we did not initially change the sign to remove "by order of the Fire Marshall". Our apologies for that oversight and any confusion it may have caused. THANK YOU to our Maintenance crew who did a great job getting many, many leaves picked up in our community ... even with the leaf vac out of commission for 3 days last week. Attached are additional guidelines for campfires ... with information from our own Rules and Regulations as well as information from the Fire Service website. Sincerely, OSC Board Comments are closed.
