Dear Homeowners ... We wanted to send a reminder as everyone is doing their "spring cleaning" and perhaps some remodeling --- Our dumpsters are for household trash only and this is stated in our Rules & Regulations (a copy of that section is shown below). When the truck comes in to pick up our trash, they lift the dumpsters into the truck; the drivers do not get out to load any additional trash into the back of the truck. And we can't expect Maintenance to take your items to the Trash Transfer Station nor do your Association Fees cover that service. If you left the box spring on the outside of our dumpsters, you need to remove it and dispose of it yourself. There were also a number of large bulk items in our dumpsters as well. While we don't expect you to "dumpster dive" to retrieve them, but fines will be issued if this occurs in the future. The minimum fine will be $100 plus the cost of disposal and maintenance hours. As you can see, the area is under video surveillance.
HOUSEHOLD TRASH ONLY – Large bulk items such as construction debris, indoor and outdoor furniture, TVs, appliances, mattresses, box springs, kitchen cabinets, large rolls of carpeting, and cardboard boxes CANNOT be left in or around these dumpsters. You can bring bulk items home or to the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (www.cmcmua.com) Transfer Station on Shunpike Road which is the road leading to Home Depot. (There is a small fee for disposal.) Please note that along with everything else, our costs for trash removal have increased SIGNIFICANTLY for the season and we cannot afford to call for additional pickups during the season when a single household fills a good portion of a dumpster. We currently have over 200 families in our community! Please be sure to remind friends, family, and any contractors who may be helping you ... as well as any neighbors or new homeowners who may not be on our Facebook page or website. (PS ... If you know who is pictured here, please let us know.) Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our costs down. Comments are closed.
