Mark Your Calendars -- OSC Annual Association Meeting
Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00am LOG CABIN COMMUNITY CENTER Additional details to follow. Dear Homeowners ... We just spoke to an Xfinity technician working in the community. They are performing routine maintenance on our equipment and actually completed a major repair/upgrade at our connection on Stagecoach Road this morning which caused a service disruption. They hope to be finished today but, if not, there may be another brief disruption in service tomorrow morning around 7:00am.
Please note that the Board was not alerted in advance of this work but, now that we are aware, we wanted to ensure that we passed the information we do have on to our homeowners. Thanks in advance for your understanding. Come join your OSC friends and neighbors for a concert by “Radio Fiction” from 7:00 to 10:00pm on Saturday, August 7 outside the Log Cabin Community Center. Bring your own beverages and snacks … and enjoy the music and good company! All are welcome! Volunteers will be needed to set up tables and chairs before the concert … and clean up afterwards. Please check back for times.  A member of the OSC Board met with the Cape May Court House Postmaster today and we are reviewing options for mail delivery to our community.
The Water Leak on the 1200 Block is Fixed!
A BIG THANK YOU to our Community Volunteers … Dave, Kevin, Otto, and Steve … who gave Mike a hand this morning!! Great to see our community working together! The water will be turned off this morning around 9:00am to repair a leak on the 1200 block. (The horn will sound.) This is a difficult repair and may take longer than normal to repair. Mike will try to isolate the break and turn water off to the entire community for only a short time. HOWEVER, the homes on the south end of Beach (lots in the 30’s and possibly 40’s) as well as the southern portion (higher lot numbers) of both the 1100 and 1200 block may be off for a much longer time while the repair is being completed.
The water will be on in the Bathhouse for your use during this time. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We received notice today (July 16) from the mail carrier that services our route. Due to the number of packages she delivers from Amazon and other mail order companies, she can no longer drive into our community to deliver them due to space constraints in her mail truck and time constraints along her route.
Please have your Amazon packages delivered to one of several Amazon Hub Counters/Lockers in the area -- 2 are located in Rio Grande, one at AAA and one at GNC, 3301 Route 9 South, Rio Grande, NJ 08242 and another at the Rite-Aid in Wildwood at 3400 New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood, NJ 08260. (You will need to select one of these locations from amazon.com/findalocker and add it to your address book in Amazon.) Once you receive notice that the package has arrived, you can simply go to the counter during business hours to retrieve your items. The CMCH Post Office thanks you in advance for your cooperation in this matter. Tomorrow, Friday, July 16, the water will be turned off in the late morning or early afternoon to repair a leak on the 1200 block. Unfortunately, the break is under a trailer and may take longer than normal to repair … maybe a couple hours. The water will be on in the Bathhouse for your use during this time.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. The pool will be open at 10:00am today. Precision Analytics was in this morning to take a water sample. While full test results won't be available for a day or two, they were satisfied with the actions our Maintenance Manager took last night and indicated that it was ok to open today! Thanks Mike!!
