Dear Homeowners – We want to assure you that THE POOL IS CLEAN! It is vacuumed and tested every morning. We’ve had several homeowners express their concern about the “dirt” on the walls in the deep end of the pool. These are actually rust stains on the paint. The walls of the pool are not dirty. There is a big contrast between the shallow end and the deep end because we had to repair a large crack the full length of the shallow end and repaint it this spring.
Someone did attempt to scrub the sides of the pool last weekend with the pool brush … and we’re sure to no avail. The result was a damaged brush and numerous white bristle pieces floating in the pool and skimmers extending Monday’s cleanup time. PLEASE … do not remove or use the pool cleaning or safety equipment (including the life rings) from their locations. If you wish to use the skimmer net to remove bugs or leaves, feel free to do so, but all other equipment needs to be left in its place. ALSO … PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES, YOUR CHILDREN, AND YOUR GUESTS. Leaving food residue, wrappers, and cups at the pool not only invites bugs and other critters but also increases the time it takes to ready the pool for your use the next day. The pool belongs to all of us … please treat it and the outdoor furniture respectfully. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Dear Homeowners ... A letter was sent to homeowners on April 25, 2021 outlining the New OSC No Smoking Policy. This new policy prohibits marijuana smoking in ALL our common areas which includes the pool, playground, roads, common lots, boat yard, and beach area. Additionally, there is no smoking of tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, and pipes) or using vapes or smokeless tobacco devices in or around the pool area or the playground.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG
Dear Homeowners ... When walking your dog in our community, please pick up after your pet and dispose of the waste properly. There are pet waste containers and bags (if you forget your own) located throughout the grounds. Regardless of whether your dog does his or her business on someone's property or in a common lot (including the beach area), it needs to be picked up. We've already had several incidents this year with pet waste being left on homeowners' property. Please ensure that your children and guests are aware of this "pick up" policy and do not let your pet wander on the grounds unattended. OSC POOL HOURS
Dear Homeowners ... With no Covid regulations in place this summer restricting pool use, our pool hours have returned to "normal" -- 10:00am to Dusk -- on a daily basis. There may be instances when we have to temporarily close the pool to adjust chlorine levels or resolve an unanticipated issue. In that case, a message will be posted on Facebook and our website. Enjoy! Dear Homeowners ... As we get deeper into the summer season and more family and friends join us at Old Stagecoach Campground, we wanted to remind everyone to “Park vehicles on your site only. Please do not park on the street or block driveways or neighbor’s vehicles. Overflow parking is available throughout the community with larger lots near the playground and boat yard.”
Our streets are very narrow and were not meant to accommodate on-street parking. Please be sure all vehicles are parked completely on your property or use a nearby overflow parking area. We had an incident on Sunday, May 30th with an emergency vehicle that could not get down one of our streets and had to go around the block. So ... please be kind to your neighbors and take care when parking. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Dear Homeowners … As you may have guessed, the pool continued to be problematic this past week.
During the annual township inspection, a grounding problem was discovered with the pool equipment and we did not receive a passing grade. As a result, we needed to complete an upgrade to the electrical system that we hadn't been prepared to do. The situation has been corrected and we are now up to township standards. In addition to the electrical issue, a malfunction was discovered with our filtration system. One pump was in continual backwash mode causing us to lose as much water overnight as we were putting in during the day. That situation has also been fixed. Because of the additional fresh water that was going into the pool since last week, it was difficult to balance the pool chemicals due to the high iron content. At this time, the water is iron free, but has an abundance of algae. Our outside pool expert has been in at least 3 times this week to try to clear the pool and get our chemicals to a safe level for swimming, but at this time, even he is stumped and has called his peers for additional suggestions. He will be continuing to work closely with our maintenance staff until the pool is open. At the beginning of the week, we were hopeful that the pool would open this weekend, but at this point, we are not sure. We are actively monitoring the chemicals and working with our pool expert. Again, our apologies for the delay in opening. Going forward, we will provide daily updates on the status of the pool. Thank you in advance for your patience. |
