OSC Homeowners … Please welcome our NEW MAINTENANCE CREW, Mike and James, to the Old Stagecoach Community.
MIKE (pictured on the left) will be our new maintenance manager. He worked most recently for a local plumbing and heating company and, prior to that, he was a maintenance manager at Cape Island Resort for 10 years so he brings a wealth of experience with him. Mike is also a skilled carpenter. He lives in Cape May County with his wife and daughter. JAMES (pictured on the right) will also be part of our maintenance crew. He most recently worked as a tow truck driver, but also comes to us with experience from working on the maintenance team at Pine Haven Camping Resort for 3 years. And James is also familiar operating some heavier equipment like backhoes, wheel loaders, and bobcats which will certainly come in handy when we have larger projects. Both Mike and James are busy getting the lay of the land, so to speak, of our community. Please be sure to SAY HELLO as you see them around the grounds getting us ready for the 2021 season. LEAF CLEANUP GUIDELINES -- Please complete no later than Sunday, May 16
PLEASE DO NOT PUT BRANCHES OR LANDSCAPING STONES IN WITH THE LEAVES: The vacuum truck cannot handle branches, tree limbs, landscaping stones, or other debris. Please separate branches and tree limbs and our maintenance personnel will pick them up separately. We are experiencing problems with homeowners raking up too many stones in their leaf piles which is causing many repairs to the impeller and the wear plates on the equipment. Raking may cause more stones to be dragged into the leaf pile than using a blower. If the maintenance men find that your leaf pile has too many stones in it, they will leave a notice on your door. You will then have to bag them and bring the bags to the dumpsters designated for leaves yourself. Blow leaves to the roadside but not into the roads. The leaves should be put in piles approximately 3 feet wide and extend along the entire road footage of your property if necessary. It is important to get them as close to the edge of the roads as possible because the vacuum hose cannot reach more than a few feet from the road. The original Leaf Cleanup Guidelines document included with the January mailing is also posted. WHEN WILL THE WATER BE ON? Hello OSC Homeowners. The Board is expecting that the water will be on in our community no later than Thursday, April 1. While it will be turned on earlier, we don’t know if we’ll have any issues with the water treatment system or if there will be any leaks. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that there will be water the weekend of March 27-28. We’ll keep you posted via this page and let you know as soon as the water is available to each of your sites.
